Please click on the link below to make a gift to the Marianne Moore Digital Archive. As the linked page indicates, you may give directly to the endowment supporting the archive or to an immediately spendable account. Or you may choose to make a more targeted gift, or to support us in other ways. All donors will receive a gift receipt from the University at Buffalo UB Foundation, for use in determining tax deduction eligibility.

The MMDA endowment resulted from a one-time gift of $25,000 made by a Moore scholar, which has since been supported by other scholars, students, and librarians—including gifts as small as $50. Similarly the immediately spendable account was created by an initial gift of $10,000, subsequently supported by Moore scholars and enthusiasts. The immediately spendable account is used primarily to pay for student assistance during the academic year. The endowment currently generates around $1400/annually.  To contribute to the endowment or immediately spendable account, go to: https://ubfoundation.buffalo.edu/giving/index.php?gift_allocation=0301866411

Targeted gifts:

  • Support one student editorial, technical, or programming assistant, academic year:  $5000
  • Support one student editorial, technical, or programming assistant, calendar year:  $8000*
  • Support the publication of one notebook edition and publication: $10,000*

Targeted gifts provide potential opportunity for naming, after the donor or in honor of a person or group of your choice (e.g., a Reading Notebook, made possible by a gift in honor of pangolins worldwide, or made possible by Virginia Smith).
